Painted Harvest Thank You Card

I love the Painted Harvest Stamp Set!  It is so versatile and so easy to stamp with the Stamparatus! I needed a "Thank You" card for some community members who had volunteered their time at a high school event I was in charge of.  I wanted something using school colors, red, white, and blue, but had a fall look to it.  Painted Harvest was the perfect stamp!  I needed 25 cards and didn't have much time (story of my life), so I pulled out my Stamparatus and came up with this card!  Follow along below to see how easy this card was to do in multiples!

I cut pieces of very vanilla cardstock (25 of each) sized at 5 1/4 x 3 3/4 & 2 7/8 square.  I used a small strip of double sided tape to attach the square at an angle onto the rectangular piece. I positioned this in the Stamparatus and placed the 1st Painted Harvest stamp to overlap the bottom corner of the layered paper.  I stamped that in crushed curry, turned the cardstock around, and stamped the opposite corner in crushed curry.

Using the 2nd Painted Harvest Stamp I repeated the above process, positioning the stamp over the first one, stamped in Cherry Cobbler, and turned cardstock to stamp opposite corner.

Same process was repeated for the center of the flower stamp in Cherry Cobbler!

Next I cut 25 - 3 inch squares in Cherry Cobbler and layered those under the stamped very vanilla square.  Be careful when pulling the very vanilla cardstock pieces apart so you don't rip through the paper!  Stamp your sentiment in Night of Navy - I used the "Thank You" from the Daisy Delight stamp set!
The dots (from the Painted Harvest stamp set) were added after the sentiment.  I stamped the dots using an acrylic block in Night of Navy.  This was added to a Night of Navy card base!

I could have stopped there but I was on a roll!  So, I cut very vanilla inserts for the inside of the card and stamped those!  I placed 4 pieces on my Stamparatus and stamped the image in the center, turned and stamped again!  This made the entire stamping process go very quickly!!  I also did this with the envelopes!!

Here is the finished product!!  I'll say it again - I love the Painted Harvest Stamp Set and the Stamparatus!

COLOR YOUR SEASON PROMOTION

Hello Everyone,

Color Your Seasons Promotion by Stampin' Up!

Just wanted to give you my thoughts on this new promotion by Stampin' Up!
For the month of August you have the opportunity to purchase the Blended Seasons Stamp Set,
Stitched Seasons Framelits Dies, or Watercolor Pencils in 10 new colorsYou can bundle the stamp and die set for a 10% savings!  These products will be available for the month of August or until they are gone!  The water color set may be available in future publications.
When I first looked at the promotion I thought that the stamp set would be a great starter set for new stampers.  It has great elements in it for all seasons and some basic sayings.  I wasn't sure that it would be something I would use.  I have a lot of seasonal stamps!  I immediately loved the die set because of the layering stitched framelits!

So, I ordered the bundle and the watercolor pencils in and have been playing with them.  These are some of the samples I made.

I have to say I love both the stamp set and the die set.  This is an awesome bundle!  The stamps are very versatile and will work for all seasons and special occasions, and I really love the die set!  The layering stitched framelits are amazing!  They produce the stitched effect on both the positive and negative images!

If you are interested in purchasing this set contact me right away.  Once the stamp and die set are gone they are gone!!
Clear Mount Bundle #149894 $64.75
Wood Mount Bundle #149893 $77.25

Stampaway Convention 2018!

Great Time at Stampaway Convention!

Stampaway started on Thursday when Bill & I went for classes.  I loved the Stampscapes & NorthWoods classes!

On Saturday we had 8 excited crafters!  Our "Society of Creative Crafters" t shirts were a big hit!  We arrived early and spent the entire day shopping, learning new techniques, doing "make and take" projects (Sarah's specialty), and of course spending money!😂
My "Make & Takes" for the day!

And of course, many new things to play with when I got home & some great new ideas for future classes!

Already looking forward to next year!
Almost forgot one - this is all the free stuff I got there today! I even won a bag full of stamps from the Northwoods booth! Yay!
